Cool Econ Stuff
The FRED Database
Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) at the St. Louis Fed includes lots of cool economic (but especially macroeconomic) data.
NBER Recessions
The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) formally determines when recessions have happened in the United States. Their site has some cool info about when recessions took place and how they decide when a downturn is bad enough to be considered a recession.
Macroeconomics Simulations
Alessandro Bramucci’s macro apps
These are some cool web apps that simulate some basic macroeconomic models. Some of this stuff may be beyond the scope of ECON 121, but it’s cool to play around with these!
